Colleen Orr narrowly missed the finals of the World Champion of Champions by losing her final match against Englands’ Kirsty Richards in a tie breaker.

The final match played in difficult conditions tested both players with the result hinging on the last two bowls of the match where Richards drew in a close bowl to take shot with her final bowl.

Colleen Orr steadied and missed her final shot by a matter of inches to lose the match and be eliminated. Scotlands’ Dee Hoggan who was watching nervously from the sidelines gained the last spot in the finals playoffs.

Colleen represented the Northern Territory and Australia with some exciting wins during the tournament gaining great exposure for the Territory. Overall Colleen won 9 out of 12 matches including wins over South Africa, Hong Kong and Scotland.

Colleen’s coach Tony Shelley (Darwin) played a big part by supporting Colleen whilst preparing for the tournament and then throughout the week, helping her through some of the more stressful moments.
