Congratulations to the NT State Triples winners!
The 2023 NT Triples Championships were hosted by the Darwin Bowls and Social Club over the weekend starting on Saturday April 22nd.
For the men’s event was an all-Darwin affair where Trystan Smallacombe, Ian Smith and Ben Trainor beat Warren Corowa, Jonard Galiciano, and Paulie Rodin in a strong showing 22/6.
Smallacombe and Smith have had a hold on this event with Smallacombe winning 5 and Smith 4 times now over the past 6 years.
The ladies saw Siobhan Tootell, Elisa Rigoni and Sez James (all Darwin) play their best in the final overcoming their challengers 22/8.
The runners up Natalie Higgins (Nightcliff), Cheree Dempsey (Nightcliff) & Bronwyn Hagger (Katherine)
These things can’t run without dedicated volunteers and umpires, a big shout out to everyone putting in the hard yards behind the scenes including the Match Committee and umpires John & Pat, and Neale and the bar staff.
