NT win series 2-1 after ADF take last match 71-60

The recently announced Northern Territory Men’s Squad put on a strong showing against the Australian Defence Force National Bowls Team winning 2 of 3 matches to retain the Trophy.

Early on in the first match, the NT started out slowly falling behind early, but dug in to wear the Defence team down. eventually winning the first match. The NT side started more confidently in the second, only narrowly losing one rink winning 63-42 overall. The final match again was hard fought but the Defence Force were able to hold on to their lead winning that match but going down overall to the Crocs.

Match One: Overall Scores: 69-64 T. Smallacombe vs K. Low 32-18 P. deGreenlaw vs I. Groves 18-20 A. Maher vs J. Wholohan 19-26

Match Two:  Overall Scores 63-42 A. Maher vs I. Groves 26-12 T. Smallacombe vs J. Wholohan 14-18 P. deGreenlaw vs J Smith 23-12

Match Three Overall Scores 71-60 P. DeGreenlaw vs J. Wholohan 23 – 23 A. Maher vs  K. Low 26 – 15 T. Smallacombe vs I. Groves 11 – 32
